I am a college student who was about to be cut by my parent's insurance. So, I figured in about five years I would be able to get insurance again, so I tried to get an IUD. My insurance denied it, but when I went to Planned Parenthood, they gave it to me for free after I filled out information on my income. I would recommend their services to anyone, they were warmer and more careful then my old OB/GYN! I was very scared, but they walked through it for me. And now, for the next five years, I do not have to pay a cent for birth control, and instead will pay them back through service.

Great post, Amy. I've been really surprised by how many of my friends don't realize that Planned Parenthood can help them get subsidized birth control. I'm all about spreading the good word, like you!
