Feminists For Choice is very excited to announce that we have three new writers joining our crew of fabulous feminists.

Alex bass concertAlexandra Wolfson is a sophomore from Spokane, Washington, where she attends Ferris High School. Alex says she first called herself a feminist in 6th grade when she learned of the unfortunate history of the subjugation of women and decided things needed to be done to bring equality forward. Alex plans to major in religious studies when she goes to college. She is proud to call herself a feminist.  Alex will be covering the high school beat for Feminists For Choice – she’ll be talking to fellow teens to ask them what feminism and choice mean to them.  And she’ll be maintaining our new Myspace account.  Welcome, Alex!

bailey russellBailey Russell lives in Syracuse, NY and is a recent graduate of Buffalo State College, where she received her B.A. in English Literature. She plays rugby for the Utica Hellbenders and is still very active as an alumnus for The Buffalo State Banshees rugby team. She volunteers for the Syracuse Peace Council and assists the Buffalo State LGBT Student Association.  Bailey will be writing pro-choice book reviews for Feminists For Choice and lending her English Lit expertise to the site.  We’re very excited to have her on the team.

kirstin mcraeKirstin McRae is finishing up her senior year at Cal State Long Beach with major in political science, and a minor in gender studies. Kirstin competes on the CSULB debate team. Kirstin loves politics, confrontation, Disneyland and equality, and she hopes to help her generation become one of action instead of apathy.  Kirstin will be covering the legislative watch for Feminists For Choice, as well as writing pro-choice book reviews to help us expand our book shelf feature.  We’re really happy that she’s taking time out of her insanely busy schedule to stand up for choice.

Please give all three of our new writers a warm welcome by leaving them a comment on their first post, which will come out later this week.
