Amy McCarthy
Amy is a 21 year old intermittent student – she’ll probably finish a degree in communications at some point. She enjoys laughing at religious conservatives, advocating for women’s rights, and drinking whiskey. Painting keeps her evened out. It is Amy’s job to ensure that her future daughters never have to worry about whether or not they will be able to do what they wish with their bodies.
What is feminism?
Feminism is a journey that gets more and more interesting. Each woman has her own brand of feminism – single mothers, career women, sex workers, each woman has an internal strength that is awe inspiring. My personal brand of feminism is being able to do whatever the fuck I want without worrying how it affects my femininity or womanhood. I am a woman because I am a woman – not because society tells me that I am.
What is choice?
Choice is something that shouldn’t even be a question. It is our dignity, or lives, and our bodies.
